Addressing pay gaps and pay rises
We hear a lot about the gender pay gap. In New Zealand it’s currently at 9%*.

While that’s not the only pay gap we should be worrying about, as ethnicity can also impact earnings, women across the spectrum are still paid less than their male counterparts.**

This can cause issues down the track. Women who earn less often have less during retirement – and they live longer.

And inflation really isn’t helping.^

So, what do you do? Ask for a pay rise? 100%. And talk to your colleagues about what they’re earning. Maybe you’re all being underpaid! Or, if you’re the one in charge of the pay-packets, take it upon yourself to ensure your staff are being paid equitably.

To learn more about how the pay gap impacts your ability to grow wealth, and what you can do about it join enable.me founder and strategic coach Hannah McQueen, enable.me coach Nadine Higgins, and special guest Jo Henderson from the Recruitment Studio for their tips, tricks and answers to your pay-parity questions.
